Surgery went well, Hubby's in his room, all groggy. The surgeon said he didn't see anything in the neighborhood that's likely to cause problems in the near future, so the idea that some sort of full recuperation might be possible is not out of the question. I think I said that vaguely enough to distract the fates.

On the heart front, Dr. Hwang did a check and said, "Your heart is now in perfectly normal sinus rhythm." No extra squiggles in the EKG.

Next milestone in my life: Billy Idol concert Saturday. Also, packing up the house with a man who can't lift things. The words "it can't get any worse" are permanently excised from my vocabulary.

I didn't realise that the surgery was so soon. I'm glad everything went well, and hope that the expected recovery occurs.

Yeah, life is being a bit faster-paced than usual at the moment. He was up walking around last night, barely eight hours after they had him opened up. He was in pain, but, gosh, see above "opened up."

Someday I want to not be afraid of hope.

Ah, with hope there is always fear; but hope realised... You deserve that.

My dream--to get a hand on the man, at the very least--just like in that song "1985".

Wonderful news! Thanks for taking the time to post on this one; I know you've better things to do.

Next: Enjoy the BI concert; you deserve the joy, sweetie!

Well, I always hate not knowing "what happened next!" in a story, so follow-ups always help. It's reassuring to know there are folks out there who do want to know.

great news on the spouse front, and best of luck on his recovery. So sorry about all your housing woes. Have fun at the concert - I lived in Salt Lake City for 5 years, but i get the impression the concert is in some other part of Utah?

It's at the State Fairpark, but I live in Provo, not in Salt Lake, therefore the transport woes.

I'm so glad everything went well. Hope everything continues that way and you have fun at the concert. So jealous. But he's supposed to be at Voodoo this year.

Anyway. Good luck with the packing. Wouldn't now be the time that minions would come in handy?
